Description

HackShield resolves around puzzling your way trough a digital environment while learning about cybercrime.
The ultimate goal is teaching kids (aged 8-12) about cybercrime so they can protect themselves,
friends & family from the dangers that it causes.

Troughout the game the player will meet a whole cast of characters, all with different opinions and expertises.
Topics range from knowledge such as "What's a good password?", "What is phishing?", etc...
to more subjective themes such as "Why do hackers do this?", "What is and isn't ok?" and the like.

The game has, at the time of writing, over 25.000 players and rising.
Thanks to our amazing partners Mediamasters, School TV, Rabobank Foundation, and many others
that help bring the game to kids in and outside of the classroom.

I was the lead programmer on this project.
Designing and building all the systems & gameplay within the game. Both front- & backend.

Apart from that I helped out with the gamedesign, as we all do within a small team.
